About
Lake Cargelligo is a town of approximately 1,500 people located in central western New South Wales, Australia, roughly three hours southwest of Dubbo. It is currently the focus of a major police operation following a shooting on Thursday in which three people were killed and one wounded. The suspect, Julian Ingram, 37, is believed to have shot two couples at two separate locations within the town. Ingram was last seen driving out of Lake Cargelligo and remains at large, with police deploying air support to search properties in the surrounding area, including Mount Hope, about 70km north. Police believe Ingram is armed and may be receiving assistance from people in the community. The manhunt is ongoing, and police have urged locals to stay inside. Ingram was reportedly on bail and had reported to local officers hours before the shootings.
