Neuilly-sur-Seine

Neuilly-sur-Seine, a commune in the Hauts-de-Seine department, France, is currently in the news due to two separate legal cases. Firstly, a Masonic lodge located in Neuilly-sur-Seine is at the center of a criminal investigation, accused of leading a criminal network allegedly responsible for the death of pilot Laurent Pasquali in 2019. Twenty-two individuals are scheduled to stand trial starting March 30, 2026, in connection with this case. Secondly, a large-scale fraud case involving the national health insurance fund (CPAM) has come to light. Seven individuals have been charged in connection with the alleged fraud, estimated at €58 million. The authorities have identified fraudulent activities in 18 health centers across the country. One of the seven individuals charged has been placed in provisional detention. These cases highlight concerns about criminal activity and financial irregularities within the region.
