Norddeutschland

Norddeutschland, or Northern Germany, is a geographical region encompassing the northern part of the country. Recent news highlights two distinct events. First, in Hamburg, a large glacial erratic (Findling) discovered during U5 subway construction in Bramfeld has been officially named "Bramfels." This is newsworthy as it represents a significant piece of Hamburg's geological history and has become a local point of interest. Second, the ARD (a German public broadcasting organization) is conducting a nationwide survey project called "ARD – Deine Meinung zählt" (ARD - Your Opinion Counts). This project aims to gather public opinion on current issues affecting all of Germany. While not exclusively focused on Norddeutschland, the survey's relevance lies in its attempt to understand the diverse perspectives of people across the entire nation, including those residing in Northern Germany.
