These riders are reportedly weaving through traffic and using footpaths, causing frustration among residents. More seriously, the area has also experienced a spate of shark attacks. Within a 24-hour period, three attacks were reported, resulting in serious injuries to both a man at Manly Beach and an 11-year-old surfer at Dee Why Beach. These incidents have raised concerns about beach safety and prompted increased vigilance from local authorities and beachgoers.
