Pangkor Island

Pangkor Island, located off Malaysia's western coast, has recently become the focal point of a search and rescue operation. A boat carrying 37 undocumented migrants, believed to be Indonesian workers attempting to enter Malaysia, sank in waters near the island. While 23 people were rescued, 14 remain unaccounted for.
