Podolsk

Podolsk is a city located in the Moscow Oblast, Russia, approximately 20 kilometers south of the capital. It is a significant industrial and administrative center. Recently, Podolsk has become newsworthy due to its proximity to Moscow, which has been the target of extensive Ukrainian drone attacks. In one of the largest aerial assaults of the war, hundreds of drones were reportedly directed towards the Moscow region, including areas near Podolsk. Russian authorities stated that many drones were intercepted, but some caused fires and casualties, including at a distribution warehouse. The attacks highlight the escalating conflict and Ukraine's demonstrated capability to strike deep within Russian territory, posing a direct threat to civilian areas and infrastructure around the capital.
