Qamishli

Qamishli is a city in the northeastern Hasakah province of Syria, historically under Kurdish influence and control by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). It's newsworthy due to recent agreements and conflicts between the Syrian government and the SDF. After weeks of fighting and territorial losses for the SDF, a US-backed ceasefire deal was reached, leading to Syrian forces entering Qamishli to commence security duties.
