Sants-Montjuïc

Sants-Montjuïc, a district in Barcelona, Spain, is currently in the news for two unrelated events. Firstly, a sexual assault occurred on February 13th in the Jardins de Mossèn Costa i Llobera. The Mossos d'Esquadra have arrested the alleged perpetrator, described as a repeat offender. Secondly, ongoing redevelopment work on Carrer del 26 de Gener de 1641, located between the Hostafrancs and La Bordeta neighborhoods within Sants-Montjuïc, has uncovered several entrances to air raid shelters dating back to the Spanish Civil War. The discoveries were made progressively during excavation work in March. The Mossos d'Esquadra's Subsoil Unit has inspected the sites.
