Siegburg

Siegburg is a town in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Recently, the Siegburg train station was the site of a major police operation involving an ICE (Intercity-Express) train traveling from Cologne to Frankfurt am Main. A 20-year-old masked man threatened an attack and detonated pyrotechnic devices inside the train. He had barricaded himself in a toilet on the train with a knife. The incident resulted in twelve passengers sustaining minor injuries, described as superficial skin wounds. The train was evacuated, affecting approximately 300 passengers. The man was eventually apprehended by the German Federal Police.
