Skaha Lake

Skaha Lake is a body of water located in the south Okanagan region of British Columbia, Canada. This area has recently become newsworthy due to significant wildfire activity. The Bald Range wildfire, in particular, has impacted the region, forcing approximately 20,000 people to flee their homes in Summerland and surrounding areas. In response to the escalating crisis, Canada has placed the military on standby to assist with the wildfire fight. International aid has also arrived, with Mexican reinforcements joining the efforts to combat the blazes. The wildfires have resulted in at least one fatality and widespread displacement, highlighting the severe threat to communities and the environment in western Canada.
