Rioja is a municipality in the province of Almería, Spain. It is currently newsworthy due to a recent crime that occurred there. On March 24th, a shooting took place in Rioja, resulting in the death of a woman and serious injuries to a man. The alleged perpetrators, Rocío Rodríguez Gómez and Javier Nieto Santiago, fled the scene and were at large.
