Tai Po district

Tai Po is a district in Hong Kong that has recently become the focus of international news due to a massive fire in its public housing apartments. The fire, which occurred in late November 2025, is considered the city's deadliest in nearly 80 years, claiming the lives of over 90 people and leaving hundreds missing. The blaze engulfed residential towers in the district, specifically Wang Fuk Court, prompting a large-scale response involving over 800 firefighters and the evacuation of approximately 900 residents.
