In one event, a motorcyclist tragically lost their life after a head-on collision with a tricycle on the Sha Tin Heights section of Tai Po Road, near the Kowloon Reservoir. The accident occurred when the motorcycle reportedly lost control, crossed into the opposing lane on a bend, and struck the tricycle. Both riders sustained injuries. In a separate and unusual development, a juvenile crocodile was discovered in a residential building on Tai Po Road in Sham Shui Po. Animal welfare organizations were alerted and responded to rescue the reptile.
