Tapalpa

Tapalpa is a picturesque village in western Mexico known for its holiday homes. Recently, it became the site of a violent confrontation between Mexican forces and the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), led by Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, aka 'El Mencho'. The operation resulted in dozens of deaths and widespread violence across the country. The killing of El Mencho has sparked concerns about potential retaliation from cartel members and further instability in Mexico. As a result, some governments have urged travelers to cancel their trips to Mexico due to the ongoing violence.
