Tarnawa Kolonia

Tarnawa Kolonia is a village located in eastern Poland, situated approximately 100 kilometers (62 miles) from the border with Ukraine. The location has recently gained international attention due to a significant security incident. In the early hours of Thursday, an unidentified object, confirmed by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk to be "probably a Russian missile," crashed into a field near Tarnawa Kolonia. The impact created a crater estimated to be 10 meters (33 feet) wide. This event occurred during a large-scale Russian barrage against Ukraine, specifically targeting the city of Lviv. In response to the missile incursion into Polish territory, Poland summoned the Russian ambassador to lodge a formal protest.
