Tarrawingee

Tarrawingee is a locality in Victoria, Australia, that has recently gained attention due to an incident involving a local resident. On Monday afternoon, Helen Haines, the independent Member of Parliament for Indi, was struck by a car outside her constituency office in Wangaratta. Reports indicate the car allegedly performed a U-turn and hit her twice. A 43-year-old man from Tarrawingee was detained at the scene by a passerby and police. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has suggested the incident may have been a deliberate attack. Ms. Haines, 65, was hospitalized in Melbourne in critical condition following the event. The incident has raised concerns about the safety of public officials and the potential for targeted attacks within the community.
