Tizi Ouzou

Tizi Ouzou is a province located in northern Algeria, a region known for its coastal areas and natural landscapes. Recently, the province has become the epicenter of severe wildfires that have swept through large parts of northern Algeria. These blazes, fueled by a significant heatwave, have tragically resulted in at least 12 deaths and left 54 people injured, with six in critical condition. Authorities have been actively engaged in combating the fires and evacuating dozens of families from the most affected areas. The Interior Minister, Said Sayoud, confirmed the casualties and the extent of the damage. The current situation highlights the vulnerability of the region to extreme weather events and the ongoing efforts to manage the crisis and support those impacted by the devastating wildfires.
