On a Monday morning, a collision involving a taxi and three private cars occurred on the Kowloon-bound carriageway near Lai King MTR station, resulting in five minor injuries. Later the same day, a double-decker KMB bus, route 960, crashed into a highway maintenance truck near Princess Margaret Hospital, causing at least 24 injuries. Both incidents highlight ongoing traffic safety concerns on this busy thoroughfare.
