Tunga-Makeri

Tunga-Makeri, along with other villages in the Borgu local government area of Niger state, northwest Nigeria, near the Benin Republic border, has recently been targeted by armed bandits. These groups, often operating on motorcycles, are responsible for a surge in violent attacks in the region. The villages were raided early Saturday morning, resulting in the deaths of at least 30 people.
