Walking Street

Walking Street in Pattaya, Thailand, is a well-known entertainment district that attracts tourists and military personnel on shore leave. Recently, it gained attention due to an incident involving two U.S. sailors from the USS Abraham Lincoln. These sailors were part of a large contingent of nearly 5,000 crew members making a port call in Thailand after a lengthy 250-day voyage. While many sailors initially focused on shopping and relaxing at designated hotels, a "small scuffle" involving two drunken sailors occurred near Walking Street in the early hours of Thursday. The sailors were subsequently sent back to their warship. This event highlights Walking Street's reputation as a lively, albeit sometimes rowdy, destination within Pattaya's nightlife scene, drawing attention to the conduct of visitors in such areas.
