Woolwich

Woolwich, a district in south-east London, is currently newsworthy due to the fatal shooting of 14-year-old Eghosa Ogbebor. The Metropolitan Police responded to reports of a shooting on Lord Warwick Street in Woolwich on Thursday. Tragically, Ogbebor was pronounced dead at the scene. In the aftermath, police have arrested multiple teenagers in connection with the murder. Initially, three teenagers were arrested on suspicion of murder: two boys aged 14 and 16, and an 18-year-old. Subsequently, a 16-year-old boy from Romford has been charged with Ogbebor's murder and is scheduled to appear at Thames magistrates court. Another 16-year-old remains in custody on suspicion of murder. The incident has brought attention to youth violence in the area and the ongoing police investigation.
