Zaventem Airport

Zaventem Airport, located in Belgium, is a major international airport that was one of the targets of the coordinated terrorist attacks on March 22, 2016. These attacks, which also targeted the Maelbeek metro station, resulted in the deaths of 32 people and injuries to over 300. The airport is newsworthy currently because the tenth anniversary of the attacks was recently commemorated. Memorials and ceremonies were held to remember the victims and honor the survivors. However, in a disturbing development, a memorial exhibition in Brussels dedicated to the victims was vandalized shortly after the anniversary.
