Agomelatin

Agomelatin is an antidepressant medication. It is newsworthy because in Germany, it has been approved for coverage by health insurance providers for the off-label treatment of fatigue in Long Covid patients. The Gemeinsame Bundesausschuss (G-BA), a German committee, made the decision to allow reimbursement for Agomelatin and three other medications, even though they are primarily approved for other conditions. This decision is significant because previously, Long Covid patients in Germany faced difficulties in getting medication costs covered by insurance.
