Alinea

Alinea, a French furniture and home decor retailer founded in 1989 and owned by the Mulliez family through Néomarché, has been placed in liquidation judiciaire by the Tribunal des Affaires Economiques de Marseille. This action results in the loss of approximately 1,200 jobs. The company was previously placed in redressement judiciaire (similar to bankruptcy protection) in November 2025. The liquidation follows the rejection of a single takeover offer from a Romanian group, deemed insufficient by management and employees.
