Alpine Eco Trek

Alpine Eco Trek is a tour operator that has been identified in relation to a recent flash flood incident near the Nepal-Tibet border. The disaster, triggered by a glacier collapse, caused devastating floods that swept through valleys and destroyed villages, resulting in at least 270 fatalities and nearly 1,400 people missing. Among the missing are at least 33 British nationals, including a 13-year-old girl. While the articles mention other tour companies like Kailash Journeys confirming involvement, Alpine Eco Trek's specific connection to the event is implied by its operation in the affected region. The organization's relevance is tied to the ongoing search and rescue efforts for missing tourists and the broader impact of the flash floods on the tourism industry in Nepal.
