Bellingcat

Bellingcat is an investigative journalism group specializing in open-source intelligence (OSINT) and data analysis. They are a collective of researchers and citizen journalists who use publicly available information, such as social media, satellite imagery, and official documents, to investigate a variety of topics, including armed conflicts, human rights abuses, and disinformation campaigns. Bellingcat is newsworthy due to their recent geolocation and analysis of a video released by Iranian news agency Mehr, which shows a US Tomahawk missile hitting a military base near a school in Minab, Iran. This analysis adds to the evidence suggesting US responsibility for the strike on the school, where over 160 people, mostly children, were killed. Their work contradicts claims made by some, including former President Trump, who suggested Iran or another party could be responsible.
