From February 10, 2024, for a period of four days, medical staff at these institutions, including Buzău Hospital, were compelled to revert to manual, pen-and-paper methods for patient care. This drastic measure was implemented as a workaround to ensure continuity of services and patient safety while IT teams and the national cyber response center worked to identify the source of the attack and restore digital systems.
