Civil Protection

Civil Protection units are emergency response organizations tasked with protecting citizens during disasters and accidents. Their role is crucial in mitigating the impact of natural calamities and man-made incidents. Recently, Civil Protection services have been actively involved in responding to significant events. In Algeria, they were on the scene of a tragic bus accident that claimed at least 27 lives and injured 39 others, providing immediate assistance and support. Simultaneously, in Angola, Civil Protection teams have been dealing with the aftermath of torrential rains that caused flash floods, resulting in nearly 30 deaths, numerous injuries, and thousands of displaced individuals in coastal cities like Benguela and the capital, Luanda. These recent events highlight the vital and ongoing importance of Civil Protection in saving lives, managing casualties, and assisting populations affected by emergencies, underscoring their critical function in maintaining public safety and providing humanitarian aid.
