Delhi University

Delhi University is a prominent public central university situated in Delhi, India. While the university itself is a well-established educational institution, recent news has highlighted its proximity to a tragic event. A five-story building, which served as a boys' hostel, collapsed in Satya Niketan, a densely populated neighborhood known for private student accommodation near a Delhi University campus. This incident resulted in at least one fatality and trapped dozens of individuals, with rescue efforts underway to free those still caught in the rubble. The collapse has brought attention to the area surrounding the university, raising concerns about student housing safety in densely populated student accommodation zones adjacent to the campus.
