They are in the news currently due to recent elections in Nepal and Hungary. In Nepal, the Election Commission confirmed Bhumika Shrestha as the country's first transgender woman lawmaker and also confirmed the landslide victory of Balendra Shah's Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) in the parliamentary election. The RSP's victory marks a significant shift in Nepalese politics following a youth-led uprising. In Hungary, the election commission is still finalizing the vote count, which could take up to three weeks, following the Tisza Party's strong showing.
