FirstDate

FirstDate is a newly launched matchmaking service in Singapore specifically for government workers aged 21 to 35. The initiative is part of a broader government effort to address the country's record-low fertility rate. FirstDate distinguishes itself by employing a Nobel-winning algorithm to facilitate one-on-one dates, aiming to combat 'swipe fatigue' often associated with modern dating apps. This approach signifies a strategic move by Singapore to encourage relationships and potentially boost the birthrate among its public sector employees. The service's launch highlights the government's proactive stance on demographic challenges and its willingness to explore innovative solutions to foster connections and family formation.
