Fundación Avanza

Fundación Avanza is a Spanish think tank associated with the PSOE (Spanish Socialist Workers' Party). It is considered the party's primary think tank and was reportedly created by the current Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez. The organization is designed to generate ideas and policy proposals aligned with the PSOE's political agenda. The foundation is newsworthy due to the recent death of its president, Manuel Escudero, at the age of 79. Escudero was a prominent economist and politician within the socialist party and played a key role in Pedro Sánchez's successful 2017 primary campaign, coordinating the effort alongside José Félix Tezanos, the current president of the CIS (Centre for Sociological Research). Escudero's death marks a significant loss for the Fundación Avanza and the PSOE.
