Google Maps is a widely used online mapping service developed by Google. Google Maps is newsworthy due to recent developments in South Korea and its role in identifying trends in the food delivery industry. After two decades, South Korea has approved the export of high-precision map data to overseas servers, allowing Google Maps to function fully in the country, albeit with strict security requirements. Additionally, a recent study in England used Google Maps data, along with other delivery platforms, to determine that a significant portion of food delivery businesses are "dark kitchens," highlighting the platform's relevance in understanding contemporary trends in the food service sector.
