Greens for Palestine

Greens for Palestine is a faction within the UK Green Party that has recently gained prominence due to its advocacy for Palestinian rights. The group's influence was highlighted when the Green Party's annual conference passed a motion equating Zionism with racism and calling for Israel's replacement by a single Palestinian state. This decision has generated significant internal debate, with the head of the Jewish Greens expressing her potential departure from the party over the vote. The group has reportedly encouraged individuals to join the Green Party to support this agenda. The recent developments place the Green Party leadership, including leader Zack Polanski, under pressure to clarify their stance on the controversial motion. The current relevance of Greens for Palestine lies in its impact on the Green Party's internal politics and its contribution to the broader discourse on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict within political parties.
