The Chesterfield County Police Department is actively investigating a shooting incident that occurred early Saturday morning near the Virginia State University’s Quad Annexes. The incident involved multiple suspects and resulted in five individuals sustaining gunshot wounds. Responding officers discovered the victims outside campus dormitories shortly before 1:30 AM. A campus-wide lockdown was initiated and subsequently lifted around 9:00 AM. The department, along with campus police, is working to identify and apprehend the individuals responsible for the shooting.
