H&K firearms are currently newsworthy due to an incident in London where armed police officers assigned to protect Mayor Sadiq Khan reportedly left a bag containing an MP5 semi-automatic carbine, a Glock pistol, a Taser, and ammunition unattended on a street. A member of the public discovered the bag. The Metropolitan Police are investigating the incident, and five officers have been removed from frontline duties.
