Janjaweed

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF), a Sudanese paramilitary group with roots in the Janjaweed militias, is a key actor in the ongoing conflict in Sudan, which began in April 2023. The RSF's actions are newsworthy due to their alleged involvement in numerous civilian casualties. Recent reports detail a large-scale assault by the RSF in North Darfur, resulting in at least 28 deaths and numerous injuries in Misteriha.
