Lovely Professional University

Lovely Professional University (LPU), one of India's largest private universities located in Phagwara, Punjab, has recently been the subject of significant news coverage. The university suspended classes for 10 days following protests that turned violent. These demonstrations were sparked by an unverified allegation of a female student being raped on campus. LPU has categorically denied the rape allegation, and police are currently working to verify the claims. The unrest and subsequent class suspension highlight the immediate challenges the institution is facing in managing campus safety and responding to serious allegations, making its current situation a matter of public concern and scrutiny.
