Misereor is a German development aid organisation of the Catholic Church. Its full name is Bischöfliches Hilfswerk Misereor. The name is derived from the Latin "misereor". It is focused on fighting poverty worldwide and is the largest Catholic development aid in the world. The headquarter is in Aachen.
