Mountain Home Air Force Base

Mountain Home Air Force Base, located in western Idaho, is a United States Air Force installation. It recently gained media attention due to an incident during its annual Gunfighter Skies Air Show. On Sunday, two U.S. Navy EA-18G Growler jets, belonging to Electronic Attack Squadron 129 from Whidbey Island, Washington, collided in mid-air approximately two miles from the base. Fortunately, all four crew members aboard the aircraft ejected safely. Following the collision and crash, the base was temporarily locked down as emergency crews responded to the scene. The incident occurred during a public air show, prompting witness reports and immediate official response. An investigation into the cause of the mid-air collision has been initiated.
