Musulmans de France (MF)

Musulmans de France (MF), formerly known as the Union des Organisations Islamiques de France (UOIF), is a prominent Muslim organization in France. It organizes an annual gathering, described as the "largest Muslim gathering in Europe." Recently, this gathering, scheduled for April 3-6, 2026, at the Parc des Expositions du Bourget near Paris, was initially banned by the Paris police prefecture due to concerns about potential "troubles to public order" given the heightened national and international tensions and the elevated terrorist threat level. Despite the ban, the event ultimately proceeded. The event has drawn attention for featuring speakers like Imam Iquioussen and for allegedly promoting "rigorist" views, including the wearing of the hijab by young girls and the presence of books deemed anti-Israel, as well as salafist preachers. This has sparked debate about the organization's ideology and its influence within the French Muslim community.
