MyCentre

MyCentre is an Islamic community centre located in Melbourne. It has recently become newsworthy due to accusations from prosecutors in the United Arab Emirates linking the centre to the co-pilot who allegedly attacked the captain of a flydubai jet. The co-pilot is reportedly in custody in the UAE. Samir Mohtadi, a Melbourne man associated with the centre, has publicly and strongly rejected these accusations, calling them "false accusations" and an attempt to associate him or the centre with the alleged attacker. In a recent Facebook video posted on MyCentre mosque's page, Mohtadi adopted a stance of silence on the matter, stating that "the best thing, sometimes, is not to say anything." The centre's current relevance lies in its connection to an ongoing investigation and the public denial of any association with the alleged perpetrator.
