Patriotic Front

The Patriotic Front (PF) is a prominent political party in Zambia. Historically, it has held significant political power, with its leader, Edgar Lungu, serving as president from 2015 to 2021. The party's recent newsworthiness stems from its role in the ongoing political landscape of Zambia, particularly in the context of recent presidential elections. While the provided articles focus on the incumbent President Hakainde Hichilema and his reforms, the PF remains a key opposition force. Observers have noted concerns about intimidation and violence during the recent election process, which could be related to the competitive political environment involving major parties like the PF. The party's current relevance lies in its position as a major opposition bloc, influencing the political discourse and challenging the ruling party's agenda, especially concerning economic issues that are currently testing the nation.
