Recent news focuses on their decision to withdraw sponsorship from the Wireless Festival, a UK music festival scheduled to be headlined by Kanye West (now known as Ye). This withdrawal occurred after significant public criticism, including concerns voiced by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, regarding West's history of antisemitic remarks. The controversy surrounding West's planned performance and the potential for him to be denied entry into the UK due to his views led Pepsi to disassociate themselves from the event. Separately, Pepsi bottles were mentioned in a news report regarding a bombing attempt at a US Air Force base, where the explosive device was constructed inside two 2-liter cherry Pepsi bottles. While the company itself is not implicated in the bombing, the use of their product in the incident is noteworthy.
