Sloth World

Sloth World is a planned tourist attraction in Orlando, Florida, intended to be a permanent, public exhibit showcasing sloths. The organization is currently under investigation by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) following the deaths of 31 sloths. These sloths were procured from rainforests in Peru and Guyana and were intended for display at the attraction. The deaths occurred at a Florida warehouse where the animals were being held before the planned opening, which was scheduled for this spring. The FWC report indicates that the sloths died due to conditions at the warehouse. The incident has raised concerns about the ethical implications of importing and housing exotic animals for entertainment purposes and has put Sloth World under scrutiny regarding its animal care practices.
