Thai Public Broadcasting Service

The Thai Public Broadcasting Service (TPBS) is a public service broadcaster in Thailand. It has recently been featured in news coverage related to significant public safety incidents. Specifically, TPBS provided video footage that was used in reporting on the aftermath of two deadly shootings near Bangkok in August 2026. One of these incidents involved a former Thai lawmaker, Chalong Riewraeng, who was arrested after a shooting at a government office. TPBS's role in documenting and disseminating information about these events highlights its function as a key media outlet in Thailand, particularly during times of public concern and crisis. The organization's coverage contributes to the public's understanding of these developing situations and the government's response, such as vows for tougher gun controls.
