Volant Media is a Persian-language media organization based in northwest London. It has recently become newsworthy due to an attempted arson attack on its offices in Park Royal. On Wednesday, an ignited container was thrown towards the Volant Media building but landed in a car park, where the fire quickly extinguished. The Metropolitan Police have arrested three individuals in connection with the incident: a 16-year-old boy, a 19-year-old man, and a 21-year-old man. Oisin McGuinness, 21, and Nathan Dunn, 19, have been charged with arson. The attempted attack highlights potential threats faced by Persian-language media outlets operating outside of Iran, although the motive behind the attack remains under investigation.
