Xinwen Lianbo

Xinwen Lianbo is the flagship daily news programme for state broadcaster China Central Television (CCTV), aired live on CCTV-1 and CCTV-13 daily at 7:00 PM. By custom, it is also simulcast on the flagship channel of each provincial satellite TV station in mainland China, making it one of the world's most-watched programmes. Since its debut on 1 January 1978, the programme has been a primary medium for Chinese government announcements and Communist Party positions.
