The company is currently newsworthy due to its active participation in the competitive race among Chinese tech firms to develop and release new AI models. Recently, Zhipu AI launched its latest flagship model, the GLM-5, which boasts enhanced coding capabilities and signifies a shift towards "agentic engineering" in AI development.
