Ahmed Shaam

Ahmed Shaam was a local military diver in the Maldives who tragically lost his life during a perilous mission. He was involved in the search and rescue efforts for four Italian divers who went missing while exploring a cave system in Vaavu Atoll. The search operation had to be suspended following Shaam's death. Subsequently, Finnish cave-diving specialists were able to locate the bodies of the four Italian divers deep inside the cave system.
